Essential Areas of Responsibility
- Build rapport and relationships with regional team members, cross-functional partners, and external contacts (e.g., HCPs and office staff).
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and product in-servicing.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote product and provide product/patient education.
- Strategically manage and grow key account relationships to tailor solutions, drive differentiation, and achieve sales targets.
- Review and analyze sales data to create effective territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds.
- Address external market challenges while collaborating internally to drive successful sales strategies.
- Proactively work with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution and shared objectives.
- Maintain call average as outlined in the sales plan (face-to-face interactions with top target customers).
- Use traditional and nontraditional problem-solving to improve performance in the assigned region.
- Adhere to all compliance policies and guidelines.
- Achieve sales goals, reach objectives, and complete required administrative duties.
Qualifications/Skills and Experience
- Bachelorโs degree (preferably related field).
- Documented B2B sales experience; pharmaceutical sales preferred.
- Preferred: complex healthcare account management; working with multiple stakeholders; experience with specialty pharmacies/patient support/reimbursement/access.
- Preferred: neurology/psychiatry/pediatrics/rare disease/specialty therapeutics/complex disease states; new product launch experience.
- Senior Sales Specialist: 1+ year; Executive Sales Specialist: 7+ years.
- Proven market accomplishments; strong written/oral communication; interact with HCPs face-to-face and virtually; leadership/interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: reimbursement/managed care/marketing knowledge.
- Ability to pass background, motor, and drug screening; valid US driverโs license and acceptable driving record.
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel; may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel.
