Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and manage transplant administration and payer stakeholder relationships; develop and execute payer access/reimbursement engagement strategies for LBE services/products.
- Negotiate transplant center and Organ Procurement Organization contracts; manage contracting from introduction through execution and amendments.
- Build business cases; pitch and implement business opportunities; deliver formal presentations to payers.
- Provide reimbursement and coverage expertise; educate transplant centers/administrators/providers on LBE offerings and reimbursement processes.
- Maintain accurate CRM/SAP customer data; serve as primary internal invoicing contact for finance; support operational processes.
- Conduct regular stakeholder meetings; monitor account trends and report insights to senior management.
- Partner cross-functionally (Liaisons, Clinical Services, HEOR, Patient Advocacy, NADs, Marketing, Legal, Compliance) to implement payer initiatives.
- Represent LBE in local/regional/national meetings; serve as resource for access/reimbursement planning and data interpretation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (related field).
- 10+ years organ operations/healthcare services (payer access, reimbursement, stakeholder engagement) or 8+ years with a Master’s.
- 5+ years transplant administration experience (managed care, marketing, business case development) or 3+ years with a Master’s.
- Executive-level business presentation experience.
- Proven expertise in transplant reimbursement dynamics (e.g., Medicare cost reporting and payer contracting) and access/reimbursement.
- Strong relationship-building; clear communication of clinical/technical information.
- Data gathering/interpretation for executives.
- Problem-solving mindset; understanding of OPO organ acquisition charges/reimbursement.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (related field).
- 2+ years navigating the national payer landscape.
- Current relationships with relevant MCOs.
Job Location:
- Home-based (Continental US); ~60% national travel.
