Role Summary

The Oncology National Sales Manager (NSM) contributes to the strategic and tactical development of sales initiatives. The NSM reports to the Head of Sales as a member of the Sales Leadership Team, collaborating with Franchise Marketing, Sales Ops, Sales Training, Market Access and Sales Leadership to optimize sales effectiveness. This role may be field-based but requires time at AbbVie HQ in Chicago.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management and coordination of various sales support functions and activities for the franchise sales force.
  • Integrate and clarify marketing strategies and enhance execution to maximize ROI.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales Management and various AbbVie sales support organizations to create, implement and optimize all necessary sales support initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities, create and implement strategies and leverage all necessary sales tools and programs to optimize sales opportunities.
  • Lead process to analyze and understand the sales operations needs of the field. Work with Sales Management and Sales Operations to help the field sales force better understand their business and to optimize sales. Work with Sales Reporting to create and implement sales reports.
  • Develop and implement sales force communication plan to ensure clear direction and understanding and to maximize morale and motivation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience required
  • Previous DM experience preferred
  • Consistent top performer
  • Advanced analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to examine business environment and develop/execute strategies to enhance sales
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent prioritization and organizational skills
  • Innovative thinker

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Additional Requirements

  • US Credentialing Requirement: Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; maintain good standing or eligibility for credentials including background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses as required.
