Responsibilities:
- Provide national leadership to a team of 12 PNH Account Managers; drive disciplined execution and achievement of sales goals.
- Translate commercial and brand strategy into effective field execution via local business planning, performance management, customer engagement priorities, and resource deployment.
- Monitor performance to key metrics; conduct business reviews and deep dives; adjust plans with analytics, marketing, and cross-functional partners.
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing, accountable team; strengthen talent development, engagement, and retention.
- Establish a strong team culture aligned with Biogen values (collaboration, care, excellence, ethical decision-making, resilience, growth mindset).
- Maintain relationships with key customers/practices and ensure front-line insights and market dynamics are shared with leadership.
- Partner with marketing, market access, medical, training, analytics, commercial operations, and others to ensure field enablement, tools, infrastructure, and support.
- Provide marketplace feedback on customer trends, practice dynamics, competitive programs, access considerations, and industry issues.
- Manage sales budget and strategic spend to deploy resources efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with Biogen policies and applicable laws/regulations/industry standards.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years biotech/pharma commercial experience; proven sales team leadership.
- 3+ years front-line commercial management (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Strategic Accounts, etc.).
- Experience leading field teams through product launch/growth/market expansion/competitive execution.
- Strongly preferred: rare disease, hematology/oncology, PNH, complement-mediated diseases, or specialty biologics.
- Skills in people leadership, strategic/business planning, analytical/problem-solving, translating strategy to field execution, communication, customer orientation, collaboration, compliance, resilience.
Travel: Up to 75% domestic travel; occasional evening/weekend events as needed.
