National Sales Director (Hematology)

Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct national Hematology sales activities and strategies to ensure effective, compliant promotion to physicians and healthcare providers.
- Lead the Hematology sales team to achieve/exceed sales goals: develop brand strategies/tactics; align KPIs to brand drivers; set performance expectations and manage execution/course corrections; build relationships with key accounts/opinion leaders; support annual incentive compensation and sales contests; develop and manage annual sales budget and quarterly/annual expenses.
- Coach, develop, and retain high-performing teams: identify capability needs; develop RSM leadership/management; oversee performance reviews and field contact reporting; recognize/reward performance; manage personnel actions; conduct regular OAM field contacts.
- Recruit/interview/hire with managerial excellence; ensure diverse candidate pools; provide second-level interview screening.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (marketing, training, medical affairs, market access, commercial ops, HR) and oversee local cross-functional engagement.

Required Knowledge/Skills:
- 10+ years in pharma/life sciences/biotech/medical devices/rare disease.
- 2+ years successful field sales leadership (oncology/hematology preferred); experience leading managers of field teams preferred.
- Advanced account management or institutional (hospital/IDN) selling.
- Experience leading through change and building high-performing culture.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Marketing, Market Access, Training, Health Systems, or Business Operations.
- Strong communication/presentation; analytical/problem-solving, strategic planning, project management; manage ambiguity.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
