National Sales Director (NSD)

The NSD will serve as a senior field leader responsible for building and leading a high-performing commercial organization across a large U.S. geography in support of Mineralysโ€™ first product launch. This role leads Regional Sales Directors and their sales teams to ensure flawless launch execution, strong customer engagement, and achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead launch planning and execution to achieve sales, market access, and market share goals
- Translate national commercial strategy into actionable area business plans
- Monitor performance; identify risks/opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Drive launch excellence, customer engagement, and field execution consistency
- Provide ongoing market insights and competitive intelligence
- Recruit, onboard, and develop Regional Sales Directors; support hiring of top field talent
- Lead/coach/develop ~15 RSDs and provide indirect oversight of 50โ€“100+ field representatives
- Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and execution
- Conduct regular field coaching, business reviews, and talent assessments; build bench strength and succession plans
- Partner with Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Training, Operations, Compliance, and HR to support launch readiness and execution
- Collaborate with Area Sales Director peers and VP of Sales to ensure national alignment
- Support national sales meetings, launch planning sessions, and leadership forums
- Manage area budget/resources/deployment; ensure forecasting accuracy, CRM utilization, and performance reporting
- Drive compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 12+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience
- 5+ years field sales leadership experience (including leadership of leaders)
- Prior launch experience required; first-launch/emerging biotech strongly preferred
- Proven specialty sales success exceeding goals
- Experience in cardiovascular, nephrology, hypertension, or related markets strongly preferred
- Strong coaching, talent assessment, leadership development, and cross-functional influence skills
- Strong business planning/analytical/problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel extensively

- Standard company benefits incl. medical, dental, vision, time off, and 401K; eligible for incentive plans contingent on performance
- US Salary Range: $260,000โ€“$285,000
