Brief Description
The National Account Director β Emisar / Optum / United is responsible for developing and managing the relationship with Emisar, Optum Rx and United Healthcare, representing the full Jazz portfolio and ensuring appropriate market access within assigned accounts. Key Market Access point of contact across Commercial and Medicare.
Responsibilities
- Execute market access strategies to ensure appropriate access for Jazz portfolio products (Commercial and Medicare).
- Build relationships with key account decision-makers (e.g., pharmacy/medical directors, clinical decision makers) influencing coverage and reimbursement.
- Influence policies/guidelines/contracts for timely, clinically appropriate coverage, access, and reimbursement.
- Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans; represent Jazz at industry events.
- Coordinate resources with accounts as the single point of contact.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Legal, Access Services, PVO/HEOR) to address access challenges.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews; maintain strategic account plans and present to senior management.
- Negotiate discount agreements in alignment with Jazz contracting guidelines and comply with applicable policies/laws/regulations.
Qualifications/Experience
- 10+ years pharma/biopharmaceutical experience; 4+ years proven success as an Account Manager calling on National commercial and/or government and/or Medicaid payers.
- 2+ years direct management/team leadership experience.
Skills
- Healthcare/payer/formulary (PDL), coverage & reimbursement and compliance knowledge.
- Strong relationship-building; lead cross-organizational projects with/without authority.
- Proficient in business acumen, communication, critical thinking/decision-making, drive for results, influence/impact, planning/organization, self-management/development; integrity, passion, collaboration, innovation, pursuit of excellence; compliant conduct.
Benefits (US)
- Base pay range: $224,000β$336,000; possible annual cash bonus/incentive and discretionary equity.
