National Account Director, Federal Accounts

Role: National Account Director, Federal Accounts, responsible for establishing and managing Summit's relationships with VA, DoD, DHA, and TRICARE, focusing on securing formulary access, developing account strategies, and supporting product launch in the federal healthcare space. Key responsibilities include building senior stakeholder relationships, leading formulary and pathway strategies, mapping healthcare landscapes, navigating referral and reimbursement dynamics, and coordinating cross-functionally on evidence generation and compliance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree; 10+ years in biopharmaceutical commercial roles with at least 5+ years in federal/government accounts; proven experience with FSS contracts, NAC negotiations, and securing formulary decisions within VA/DoD; extensive relationships within VA PBM, VISN, or DHA pharmacy operations; experience launching oncology or specialty products into federal channels. Preferred: Oncology/ immuno-oncology expertise, biologic launch experience, familiarity with VA clinical pathways, military or VHA experience, and experience building a federal function at a pre-commercial company. High-value: Focus on oncology (including immuno-oncology and biologics), federal healthcare systems, Phase 3 clinical programs, and complex contracting mechanics.
