The MSL Team Lead reports to the Vice President, Global Medical Affairs Strategy and Field. Responsible for developing the vision, strategy, tactical plans, and resource/budget plans for the regional MSL team; ongoing development/refinement of the team; demonstrating scientific discourse with subject matter experts and thought leaders in neurology/neuromuscular disease and/or rare diseases; leading KOL-driven activities; contributing to MSL training, MSL process/policy, and thought leader strategy development.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee regional MSL team; coach on field medical tactics aligned to GMA strategy; ensure scientific excellence; foster KOL relationships.
- Participate in cross-functional workstreams to identify/communicate data gaps, support data generation and communication strategies; contribute to Medical Strategy Plans.
- Lead autonomously; set goals, delegate, deliver.
- Manage people in the MSL region (strategic guidance, goal alignment, training/motivation/influence, career development for direct reports).
- Ensure field team has appropriate medical/scientific information and tools for scientific exchange.
- Provide customer-oriented field insights; enable pull-through of actions.
- Attend/support scientific meetings; represent company on presentations/panels as appropriate.
- Develop/implement initiatives to maximize effectiveness; maintain focus on priorities.
- Provide proactive KPI/status reporting.
- Ensure compliance with industry/regulatory guidelines; complete administrative tasks (e.g., Veeva, Concur, KOL tracking, conference coverage, expenses).
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree required (MD, PhD, PharmD, NP/PA, DPT, MSN).
- 12β15+ years professional experience; 5β7+ years field medical experience.
Skills/Experience:
- Lead autonomously; results-oriented.
- Advanced knowledge of Sarepta products/competitive landscape; ongoing therapeutic area scientific literature.
- Decisive, action-oriented; manages multiple priorities/deadlines.
- Strong people-management leadership; cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to convey complex concepts; excellent presenter/influencer/communicator.

- Salary range: $206,000β$257,500/year. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
