The MSL Team Lead develops the vision, strategy, tactical plans, and resource/budget plans for the regional MSL team; refines team development in collaboration with the VP and regional MSL Lead. Leads scientific discourse with subject matter experts and key thought leaders in neurology/neuromuscular disease and/or rare diseases; directs KOL-driven activities. Contributes to MSL training, MSL process/policy, and thought leader strategy development.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and coaches the Regional MSL team on field medical tactics/initiatives aligned to GMA strategy; ensures scientific excellence; fosters KOL relationships
- Participates in cross-functional teams/workstreams to identify/communicate data gaps, support data generation and communication strategies, and contribute to Medical Strategy Plans
- Leads autonomously: sets goals, delegates, and consistently delivers
- People management for the MSL team region: strategic guidance, alignment around goals, training/motivation/influence, and support for direct reportsβ career development
- Ensures field medical team has appropriate medical/scientific information and tools
- Communicates field insights to internal stakeholders to enable pull-through of actions
- Attends/supports scientific meetings/conferences; represents company on presentations/panels as appropriate
- Develops/implements initiatives to maximize effectiveness while maintaining key priorities; provides KPI status reports
- Leads with teamwork and cross-company partnering
- Ensures compliance with industry/regulatory guidelines; completes administrative tasks (Veeva, Concur, KOL tracking, conference coverage, expense reports)
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate degree required (MD, PhD, PharmD, NP/PA, DPT, MSN)
- 12β15+ years professional experience with 5β7+ years field medical experience
- Proven autonomous, results-oriented leadership
- Advanced knowledge of Sarepta products/competitive/market and therapeutic-area scientific literature
- Decisive, action-oriented; manages multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to people manage; leads cross-functional initiatives
- Excellent presentation, influence, and communication; conveys complex concepts/strategies
Benefits/Pay & Application:
- Hybrid role; work on-site in the U.S. and attend in-person company events as needed
- Targeted salary range: $206,000β$257,500/year
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
