Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β€” Responsibilities:
- Develops, executes, and maintains high-impact territory plans, including HCP and investigator engagement plans; uses data/analytics to find and maximize opportunities.
- Identifies, gains access to, and develops professional, customer-centric relationships with external experts in the assigned geography.
- Delivers territory objectives, meets project deadlines, achieves annual functional goals; generates and documents DPOs.
- Applies segmentation, DPOs, and optimal resource utilization.
- Ensures compliance with applicable corporate/divisional policies and procedures, including accurate/timely documentation of HCP interactions.
- Educates external HCPs and other stakeholders on disease state, therapeutic landscape, and AbbVie products across the product lifecycle.
- Stays current on market issues/trends and product/therapeutic developments; builds awareness and relationships in the medical community.
- Supports R&D research initiatives (e.g., site evaluation, recruitment, investigator meetings, external expert identification, external collaboration management).
- Maintains cross-functional field partnerships and supports account plans to meet shared business objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences (required); advanced degree preferred; doctorate strongly preferred; significant relevant clinical/industry experience may substitute.
- 2+ years clinical, scientific/research, or industry experience (preferred).
- Problem-solving and analytic skills.
- Ability to learn/applies skills in scientific storytelling, identifying mobilizers, medical challenger, and active listening.
- Meets HCIR credentialing requirements (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination).
- Willingness to travel up to 75%.
