Medical Affairs
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain high-impact territory plans, including HCP and Investigator engagement plans aligned with Hematology/Oncology objectives; use data and analytics to identify and maximize opportunities.
- Identify, access, and build professional, customer-centric relationships with external experts in assigned geography.
- Deliver territory plan objectives, meet project deadlines, achieve annual functional goals, and generate/document meaningful data point observations (DPOs).
- Apply core capabilities in segmentation, DPOs, and optimal resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate/divisional policies and procedures, including accurate and timely documentation of HCP interactions.
- Provide education on disease state, therapeutic landscape, and AbbVie products across the product lifecycle to healthcare providers and researchers.
- Continually build expertise on market issues/trends, product knowledge, and relevant therapeutic areas; create medical community awareness and relationships.
- Support R&D research initiatives (e.g., site evaluation/identification, recruitment, investigator meetings, external expert identification, collaboration management).
- Maintain cross-functional field partnerships (e.g., in-field commercial teams, site management/monitoring, clinical research associates, HEOR, Medical Outcome Science Liaisons) and collaborate on account plans.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree preferred in relevant scientific discipline; doctorate strongly preferred; significant clinical/industry experience may substitute.
- 2+ years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry related experience (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and analytic skills to translate territory/corporate needs into action.
- Leadership attributes aligned with company initiatives.
- Ability to learn/apply skills in Scientific Storytelling, Identifying Mobilizers, Powerful Questions, and Active Listening.
- Ability to meet HCIR credentialing requirements (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof).
- Willingness to travel up to 75%.
