Medical Affairs
Responsibilities:
- Develops, executes, and maintains high-impact territory plans, including HCP and Investigator engagement plans aligned with Hematology/Oncology objectives (focus on quality); uses data/analytics to find and maximize opportunities.
- Builds professional, customer-centric relationships with external experts in assigned geography.
- Delivers territory plan objectives, meets project deadlines, achieves annual functional goals; generates and documents meaningful data point observations (DPOs).
- Applies core capabilities in segmentation, DPOs, and optimal resource utilization.
- Ensures compliance with applicable corporate/divisional policies and accurate, timely documentation for HCP interactions.
- Provides education on disease state, therapeutic landscape, and AbbVie products across the lifecycle.
- Stays current on market issues/trends and product/therapeutic developments; supports research initiatives (e.g., site evaluation, recruitment, investigator meetings, external expert identification, collaboration management).
- Maintains cross-functional field partnerships and collaborates on account plans to meet shared business objectives.
Territory: Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Alaska.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree preferred in a relevant scientific discipline; doctorate strongly preferred (health science/clinical). Significant related clinical/industry experience may substitute.
- 2+ years clinical, scientific/research, or industry related experience.
- Problem-solving and analytic skills to translate territory/corporate needs into action.
- Leadership aligned with company initiatives.
- Ability to learn/apply Scientific Storytelling, Identifying Mobilizers, Powerful Questions, and Active Listening.
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof).
- Travel up to 75%.
- Must live in the territory or self-relocate within it.
