About the role:
As a Medical Science Liaison (launch-phase Field Medical Lead) in Switzerland, drive awareness and improve diagnosis and patient follow-up for Narcolepsy Type 1 (NT1).
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage trusted relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, Healthcare Professionals, medical societies, and patient advocacy organizations across Switzerland.
- Provide high-quality, compliant, non-promotional scientific exchange.
- Raise NT1 awareness across the diagnostic pathway (primary care, psychiatry, pulmonology, neurology, sleep medicine).
- Partner with medical societies and Centres of Excellence to co-develop red-flag criteria, referral algorithms, and diagnostic standards.
- Support healthcare professionals with identification, referral, and follow-up per local clinical practice.
- Capture, analyze, and relay field insights to inform medical strategy and optimize field activities.
- Represent Medical Affairs at scientific congresses, advisory boards, and investigator meetings.
- Support evidence-generation and other medical activities.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional launch team (Medical, Commercial, Market Access).
- Use CRM systems, analytics, digital tools, and AI-enabled platforms to tailor scientific engagements.
- Maintain advanced therapeutic-area and product knowledge.
- Ensure interactions comply with policies, SOPs, laws, regulations, and industry codes.
Requirements:
- Advanced scientific degree required (PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred; MSc acceptable).
- 4+ years pharmaceutical industry experience, including proven field medical/MSL experience.
- Stakeholder mapping and relationship-building track record.
- Knowledge of neuroscience/sleep disorders/narcolepsy advantageous.
- Strong scientific communication, presentation, influencing; strong digital/analytical/omnichannel engagement.
- English and German required; French or Italian asset.
- Travel 60–70% across Switzerland; valid driving licence.
- Understanding of regulatory/legal/ethical framework for non-promotional engagement.
- Ability to operate autonomously, manage competing priorities, and influence cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority.
- Demonstrated commitment to culture pillars.
Location: Switzerland (Remote).
Base salary range: CHF132,000.00–CHF181,500.00.
