Permanent Position: MFG Instrumentation Technician (54I- CSO)
Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM EST | Site: New Brunswick, NJ | Rate: $49.17/hour
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade, and install electrical and instrumentation components/equipment/systems for NBR R&D Manufacturing facilities.
- Perform repairs/maintenance on pharmaceutical process equipment (e.g., vessels, dryers, filters, centrifuges, lyophilizers, autoclaves, WFI stills, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, boilers, chillers, vacuum systems, etc.).
- Interpret blueprints, P&IDs, wiring/schematic drawings, ladder diagrams; work from verbal instructions.
- Calibrate and service industrial automation and process control instrumentation (e.g., transmitters, switches, thermostats, flow meters, spectrophotometers, thermometers).
- Install new instruments, assist with loop check-out, instruct operators, and coordinate with other trades.
- Document work in CMMS (e.g., Maximo) and comply with OSHA/GDP/GLP/cGMP and federal/state/local regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years relevant facilities/maintenance experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- HS diploma; journeyman papers in a trade and/or 5 years relevant experience in lieu of papers.
- CMMS experience (preferably Maximo); SharePoint/Outlook/Microsoft Office.
Skills/Abilities (preferred)
- cGMP knowledge; instrumentation and calibration knowledge.
- Strong safety culture; ability to work independently; work from heights.
- Strong communication skills.
