Metrology Technician - Vaccines (Swiftwater, PA) | Shift: Tue–Sat 11pm–7:30am
Position Overview
- Support the calibration, design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instruments, controls, and related systems used to manufacture vaccines to maintain a GMP-compliant site.
Main Responsibilities
- Support GMP and/or non-GMP areas at the Swiftwater site.
- Multitask, troubleshoot, evaluate, and replace site-wide instrumentation.
- Work on intricate, site-specific equipment and systems.
- Operate in a 24/7 GMP environment; up to 25% overtime with short notice and varying shifts.
- Interface with customers to ensure reliable, safe equipment operation and uptime.
- Maintain proactive safety culture aiming for zero injuries; identify/report unsafe conditions/behaviors to management and site HSE.
- Process calibrations in Procal/Indysoft; complete work orders and enter time in SAP.
- Complete training modules, SOPs, SWIs, and safety/compliance requirements in I-learn.
- Maintain safe work environment using LOTO and obtain required permits.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED plus 4+ years’ experience in instrumentation, or equivalent electrical education/experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Calibration, troubleshooting, and repair experience for instruments measuring temperature, pressure, speed, level, conductivity, pH, chlorine, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and associated control/recording systems.
- Prior cGMP or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
