Health Literacy Medical Writer

Responsibilities:
- Develop, author, and lead review of accurate, clear, compliant clinical, regulatory, and/or public-facing documents.
- Prepare clinical regulatory (e.g., clinical study reports, participant narratives, investigator’s brochures) and public-facing materials (e.g., trial registrations/results postings, plain language summaries, informed consent forms).
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders; plan, author, and lead documents through review and final approval.
- Identify and propose solutions to document/content/process/timeline/tool challenges; escalate issues impacting quality, compliance, or timelines.
- Apply knowledge of clinical development, regulations, disease areas, and company products.
- Apply medical writing tools/technology platforms; participate in initiatives to improve medical writing processes and standards.

Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree (preferably health/scientific/relevant discipline) and at least 2 years of relevant industry experience.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of clinical research principles, clinical trial design, and fundamental statistics.
- Strong attention to detail; analytical/logical thinking; ability to evaluate/interpret data and solve problems.
- Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects; work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong oral/written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) and shared document systems (e.g., SharePoint).

Preferred Skills:
- Plain language authoring/communication experience for patient or public-facing materials and informed consents.
- Understanding of health literacy principles and best practices (health literacy/numeracy; culturally sensitive communication).
