Medical Specialist (Sales Representative), Gastroenterology (MS)
Location: Miami, FL (field role)
Responsibilities:
- Engage Gastroenterologists and other key customers in an assigned geographic territory.
- Deliver clinically focused selling messages to create/grow revenue and consistently meet product goals.
- Develop strategy and execute tactics within key accounts to generate product utilization.
- Build strong working relationships with experts, Gastroenterologists, nurses, office staff, other healthcare personnel, and patient advocacy support groups.
- Collaborate with district colleagues, alliance counterparts, and other field/home office teams to address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends.
- Participate in and help lead initiatives supporting sales success (e.g., congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).
- Demonstrate advanced clinically based selling skills in complex markets.
Required/Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or other advanced education/certifications a plus.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical sales experience, including 2+ years selling in the Gastroenterology market and/or a similar subcutaneous self-injectable biologic specialty market.
- Proven track record of consistent, compliant sales performance; results with product launches.
- Success navigating and influencing large groups, institutional settings, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
- Ability to partner with internal field teams and alliance partners.
- Passion and learning aptitude for science; proactively strengthen knowledge of disease-state, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
- Experience in-servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories.
