The Medical Specialist (Sales Representative), Gastroenterology (MS) reports to the District Manager and engages Gastroenterologists and key customers in an assigned geography to present clinically focused selling messages, create/grow revenue, and consistently deliver product goals. The MS demonstrates sales performance that exceeds forecast/expectations and executes in a compliant manner with integrity, following applicable pharmaceutical/biologic promotion policies.

Responsibilities:
- Develop strategy and execute tactics within key Gastroenterology accounts to generate product utilization.
- Build strong relationships with experts, Gastroenterologists, nurses, office staff, other healthcare personnel, and patient advocacy support groups as directed.
- Collaborate with district colleagues, alliance counterparts, and field/home office teams to address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and support brand/corporate objectives.
- Participate in initiatives to support sales success (e.g., congresses, local/regional meetings, medical conferences).

Location: Louisville, KY (Field role)

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required; Masterโ€™s degree or advanced certifications a plus.
- Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience, including minimum 2 years selling in the Gastroenterology market and/or similar subcutaneous self-injectable biologic specialty market.
- Advanced clinically-based selling skills.
- Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments within compliance guidelines.
- Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories.

Preferred/Additional:
- Proven success navigating institutional settings, large groups, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
- Results-oriented track record with product launches.
- Passion for science; proactive learning about disease state, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
- Experience in-servicing/training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- Ability to partner/collaborate with internal field teams and alliance partners.
