Role Summary
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β€” field-based role.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Build awareness of the company and develop strategic KOL/territory engagement plans.
- Support clinical research (investigator-initiated and company-sponsored), speaker development, and training.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of company, investigational products, and current medical research.
- Maximize attendance at national/regional conferences to gather insights and strengthen relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (clinical, regulatory, market access) to advance business and scientific goals.
- Develop and execute regional medical strategies aligned with company goals.
- Lead KOL engagement strategies; identify new scientific leaders.
- Map and engage key KOLs and manage top-tier KOL relationships.
- Provide peer leadership on the MSL team (mentor/motivator/problem solver) and mentor junior MSLs.
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, clinical teams).
- Collaborate with internal teams (HEOR, access, marketing, sales) using a customer-centric, compliant approach.
- Establish and develop HCP relationships (data discussions, clinical trials, addressing patient journey barriers).
- Respond to unsolicited information requests timely, accurately, and compliantly.
- Ensure compliant dissemination of scientific/clinical information.
- Manage administrative tasks (e.g., Veeva CRM, expense reports, compliance modules, customer profiling).

Education And Skills Requirements:
- Advanced scientific degree required (MD, PhD, NP, PharmD, PA or equivalent).
- 10+ years MSL experience preferred.
- Clinical experience in neuromuscular disorders (DMD, DM1) preferred; rare disease considered.
- Strong knowledge of investigational products and neuromuscular space; emerging data.
- In-depth understanding of clinical trial and investigator-sponsored study processes.
- Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Clear understanding of MSL role/responsibilities.
- Relationship-building and communication skills (written/verbal/presentation).
- Ability to influence without authority; plan/prioritize/execute; work independently from home office.
- Adaptable in ambiguous/dynamic environments.
- Leverage neuromuscular relationships to support enrollment and site communication.
- Must be willing to travel extensively and occasionally on weekends.

MA Pay Range: $183,000–$250,000 USD.
