Role: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β€” field-based.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Build medical community awareness and develop strategic KOL/territory engagement plans.
- Support investigator-initiated and company-sponsored clinical research, speaker development, and training.
- Maintain deep knowledge of company investigational products and current medical research.
- Maximize attendance at national/regional conferences to gather insights and strengthen relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (clinical, regulatory, market access) and develop/execute regional medical strategies.
- Lead KOL engagement, identify new scientific leaders, and map key KOLs.
- Provide peer leadership within the MSL team; mentor junior MSLs.
- Manage top-tier KOL relationships and synthesize medical insights to inform medical strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to internal teams (marketing, sales, clinical).
- Establish HCP relationships via data discussions, clinical trials, and addressing patient journey barriers.
- Respond to unsolicited information requests in a timely, accurate, compliant manner.
- Ensure compliant dissemination of scientific/clinical information.
- Manage administrative tasks (e.g., Veeva CRM, expense reports, compliance modules) including customer profiling/CRM updates.

Education/Requirements & Skills:
- Advanced scientific degree required (MD, PhD, NP, PharmD, PA).
- 10+ years MSL experience preferred.
- Neuromuscular clinical experience (e.g., DMD/DM1) preferred; rare disease considered.
- Strong understanding of clinical trials/investigator-sponsored studies; ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- KOL relationship-building, clear communication to diverse audiences, influence without authority.
- Independent work/home office; strong planning/prioritization; adaptable in ambiguity.
- Willing to travel extensively and occasionally on weekends; positive team member.

Compensation (pay range): $183,000–$250,000 USD.
