Position Summary
Join Acadia as a Medical Science Liaison / Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in a field-based role supporting scientific exchange within a designated therapeutic area.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with national and regional KOLs, HCPs, patient advocacy groups, and centers of excellence aligned to Medical Affairs strategy
- Lead scientific exchange with thought leaders (research, clinical data, emerging therapies)
- Support clinical trial sites and facilitate investigator-initiated research (IIR) proposals
- Maintain deep expertise in therapeutic area, disease state, and Acadiaβs product portfolio
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Regional Business Leaders and Account Business Managers in alignment with compliance requirements
- Deliver strategic field insights to inform medical and development initiatives
- Identify disease state insights and product differentiation opportunities
- Represent Acadia at medical meetings, congresses, and educational programs
- Support commercial initiatives via speaker training and sales education
Education/Experience/Skills
- Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in a scientific or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience
- Experience in rare diseases, neurology, epilepsy, or psychiatry required
- Prior Medical Science Liaison experience preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and clinical frameworks
- Ability to travel up to 75% with residence in assigned territory
