Role Summary

Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Science Liaison to focus on developing the migraine franchise. The MSL/Senior MSL will be a key member of the Field Medical Affairs team and the primary communicator of Axsome science, executing the national medical affairs plan within a specified territory. This is a field-based role covering the South Region (NM, TX, OR, AR, LA, MS). Candidates must reside within the geography.

Responsibilities

  • Systematically identify and develop relationships with healthcare professionals to raise awareness of Axsomeβ€šΓ„Γ΄s mission in migraine and CNS disorders
  • Provide fair and balanced scientific information to HCPs and internal partners
  • Deliver formal presentations to HCPs and external stakeholders as needed
  • Lead scientific discovery and share insights from peer-to-peer discussions with HCPs
  • Identify, analyze, and translate territory needs to achieve clinical and business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal partners to advance objectives
  • Build and maintain expertise in migraine and other neuroscience areas
  • Maintain knowledge of global/regional market issues and product knowledge in relevant areas
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the National Migraine Medical Team
  • Document field activities, submit medical insights, respond to medical information requests, manage expenses, complete trainings, and perform other tasks as necessary
  • Provide high-level support for company-sponsored trials and assist with investigator-initiated research proposals as needed

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, DO, APNP or PhD) required
  • Previous MSL experience preferred
  • Preference for neurology, neuroscience, migraine and/or fibromyalgia experience
  • Residence within the geographic area
  • Ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays and weekends, as needed
  • Meet requirements for health industry personnel credentialing to access healthcare facilities within the territory
