Position: Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Rheumatology (field-based)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop/maintain relationships with academic/community research thought leaders, HCPs, and access stakeholders; answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR questions.
- Conduct scientific exchange via 1:1, group presentations, and remote interactions; use scientific resources and presentations.
- Present information and respond to questions with medical accuracy and compliance with ethical/legal guidelines.
- Assess the medical landscape; continuously update knowledge (treatment strategies, products, unmet needs, clinical trials, HEOR).
- Understand competitive landscape; identify partnership opportunities (disease initiatives, collaborative research, ISR) aligned to strategy.
- Attend medical congresses/meetings; collect and communicate medical insights to medical/commercial teams.
- Build geography-specific Field Medical/TL interaction plans; contribute to cross-functional institution/account plans.
- Provide medical support: training, scientific updates, promotional meeting support, and congress activities.
- Support clinical trials: interventional/NIR studies, site feasibility input, ISR submission/execution support, pharmacovigilance alerting, CRO study support.
Position Requirements
- MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, or NP with disease-area experience or broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Disease area knowledge; scientific publication understanding.
- Knowledge of clinical trial design/process, national healthcare/access environment, HEOR core concepts.
- Excellent English (written/spoken).
Experience Desired
- 2+ years in clinical/pharmaceutical environment; prior MSL experience.
- Independent/team player; translate scientific/clinical data for physicians; strong communication/presentation; peer-to-peer relationship building.
Essential/Travel
- Drive a company-provided car; safe driving/ethics required.
- Travel required; live in territory or within 50 miles.
Benefits/Compensation (high-level)
- Starting pay range: $166,090β$201,262 (field, US). Benefits include health, wellbeing, 401(k) and PTO (details vary by eligibility).
