Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic/community research thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders in a defined geography; answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR questions via multiple channels.
- Present accurate scientific information to TL/HCPs and respond to questions in compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines.
- Assess the medical landscape by meeting with TL/HCPs/access stakeholders; continuously update knowledge of treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, and HEOR; understand competitive landscape and evolving healthcare models.
- Identify opportunities to partner with HCPs on disease state initiatives, collaborative research, and investigator sponsored research aligned to BMS objectives.
- Attend medical congresses/local meetings; communicate meaningful medical insights to support strategy and business decisions.
- Contribute to geography-specific Field Medical and TL interaction plans; support cross-functional institution/account plans and delivery of medical programs.
- Establish customer-centric, compliant collaboration with cross-matrix field teams; support medical/scientific training and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
- Provide scientific support at promotional meetings; participate in assigned congress activities.
- Support clinical trial activities including NIR/interventional/non-interventional studies (site identification/assessment), provide feasibility recommendations, support ISR submission/execution and follow-up, and ensure pharmacovigilance procedures are applied and adverse events are escalated.
- Support CRO-sponsored studies as agreed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Required: MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, or NP with experience in a specific disease area or broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Knowledge desired: disease area & scientific publications; clinical area/competitive landscape/patient trends; clinical trial design/process; national healthcare/access environment; HEOR core concepts; excellent spoken/written English.
- Experience desired: 2+ years in clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment; prior MSL experience; independent and team-player; translate data for physicians/patients; strong communication/presentation; peer-to-peer relationships; quickly learn new subjects/environments; demonstrate BMS Values.
Essential Qualifications
- Must be able to drive a company-provided car; responsible and safe driving history.
- Travel required; field-based—live in the territory managed or within 50 miles of territory borders; majority of time in the field.
Compensation/Benefits (selected)
- Field (United States): US $166,090–$201,262; may be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash/stock.
