Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β€” Responsibilities:
- Execute the external engagement strategy aligned to the therapeutic portfolio and implement the external engagement plan aligned to therapy area strategies.
- Work with medical colleagues and other business partners to identify external experts, professional groups, decision makers, and other key stakeholders in the assigned therapy area and/or geography.
- Compliantly respond to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals regarding licensed or unlicensed GSK medicines and indications; ensure responses are factual, fair and balanced, scientifically rigorous, and comply with GSK standards, local codes, guidelines, and laws.
- Disseminate safety information as directed (e.g., Medical Affairs/R&D or DHPL process); conduct scientific exchange and provide scientific/pipeline presentations to formulary committees and HCPs per documented unsolicited requests.
- Maintain expertise in the evolving therapeutic/scientific area and competitor medicines and vaccines.
- Attend and contribute (if required) to the medical portion of regional account planning/training sessions.
- Attend national and regional scientific/medical meetings to gain medical voice of the customer.
- Support clinical development activities, including GSK and investigator-sponsored studies; collaborate with R&D to improve site performance.
- Conduct individual discussions/meetings with steering committee and advisory board members, consultants, etc.
- Provide scientific training to GSK sales representatives and HCPs; assist with GSK-sponsored speaker training events.
- Partner with matrix colleagues (e.g., sales, marketing, market access) to ensure patient- and business-focused strategies.

Basic Qualifications:
- Pharm. D or Ph. D, DNP, or MD (medical/clinical focus).
- 2+ years’ experience in pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in humans, with practical application in a clinical setting.
- Must live within the specified territory.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-doctoral clinical/pharmaceutical practice residency.
- Pharmaceutical industry or medical liaison experience (therapeutic area experience a plus).
- Prior clinical experience with direct/indirect decision-making authority for patient care.
- Above average computer literacy/software experience.
