Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

Responsibilities:
- Execute the external engagement strategy aligned to the therapeutic portfolio and implement the external engagement plan aligned to Therapy area strategies.
- Identify External Experts, professional groups, decision makers, and key stakeholders in the assigned therapy area and/or geography.
- Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals regarding licensed or unlicensed GSK medicines and indications; ensure responses are factual, fair and balanced, scientifically rigorous, and strictly comply with GSK standards/policies and local codes, guidelines, and laws.
- Disseminate safety information to the healthcare profession; conduct scientific exchange and deliver scientific/pipeline presentations to formulary committees and HCPs per documented unsolicited requests.
- Maintain expertise in the therapeutic area and competitor medicines/vaccines.
- Attend and contribute to medical portions of regional account planning/training sessions (if required).
- Attend national and regional scientific/medical meetings.
- Support clinical development activities and investigator- and GSK-sponsored studies; collaborate with R&D to improve site performance.
- Conduct meetings/discussions with steering committee/advisory board members/consultants regarding work conducted with GSK.
- Provide scientific training for sales representatives and train HCPs to speak on behalf of GSK; assist with GSK-sponsored speaker training.
- Partner with matrix colleagues (e.g., sales, marketing, market access) to ensure patient- and business-focused strategies.

Basic Qualifications:
- Pharm. D or Ph. D, DNP, or MD (medical/clinical focus).
- 2+ years’ experience in pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in humans with practical clinical application.
- Must live within the specified territory.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-doctoral training residency in clinical/pharmaceutical practice setting.
- Pharmaceutical industry or medical liaison experience (therapy area experience a plus).
- Prior clinical experience with decision-making authority for patient care.
- Above-average computer literacy and software experience.
