Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL)
Responsibilities:
- Execute the external engagement strategy and field engagement plan aligned to the therapeutic portfolio/therapy-area strategies.
- Identify external experts, professional groups, decision makers, and other stakeholders in assigned therapy area/geography.
- Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals; provide factual, fair, balanced, scientifically rigorous medical information in line with GSK standards and local codes/laws.
- Disseminate safety information (including DHPL process); conduct scientific exchange; deliver scientific/pipeline presentations to formulary committees and HCPs per documented requests.
- Maintain expertise in the scientific/therapeutic area and competitor products.
- Attend and contribute to medical account planning/training; attend national/regional meetings to capture medical voice.
- Support clinical development and investigator-sponsored studies; provide insight into GSK research interests.
- Conduct individual meetings with steering committee/advisory board/consultants.
- Provide scientific training to sales representatives and HCPs; support speaker training events.
- Partner cross-functionally (e.g., sales, marketing, market access) to ensure patient- and business-focused strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pharm.D, Ph.D, DNP, or MD (medical/clinical focus).
- 2+ yearsβ experience in pharmacology/pharmacotherapy in humans with practical clinical application.
- Must live within the specified territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-doctoral residency in clinical/pharmaceutical practice.
- Pharmaceutical industry or medical liaison experience (therapeutic area experience a plus).
- Prior clinical experience with direct/indirect patient care decision-making authority.
- Above-average computer literacy/software experience.
Compensation/Benefits (US):
- Annual base salary range: $168,750β$281,250; plus annual bonus and eligibility for share-based long-term incentive. Benefits include health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
