Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

Responsibilities:
- Execute the external engagement strategy aligned to the therapeutic portfolio; implement the external engagement plan aligned to therapy area strategies.
- Identify external experts, professional groups, decision makers, and key stakeholders in the assigned therapy area and/or geography.
- Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals regarding licensed or unlicensed medicines and indications; ensure responses are factual, fair and balanced, scientifically rigorous, and strictly compliant with standards, policies, local codes, guidelines, and laws.
- Disseminate safety information as directed by Medical Affairs/R&D and via the DHPL process; conduct scientific exchange and deliver scientific/pipeline presentations per documented unsolicited requests.
- Maintain expertise in evolving scientific/therapeutic areas and competitor medicines/vaccines.
- Attend and contribute (if required) to medical portions of regional account planning/training sessions.
- Attend national and regional scientific/medical meetings to capture medical voice of the customer.
- Support clinical development activities and programs, including GSK and investigator-sponsored studies; collaborate with R&D to improve site performance.
- Conduct discussions/meetings with steering committee members, advisory boards, consultants, etc.
- Provide scientific training for sales representatives and training for HCPs; support GSK-sponsored speaker training events.
- Partner with matrix colleagues (e.g., sales, marketing, market access) to align external expert engagement with patient and business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
- Pharm.D or Ph.D, DNP, or MD (medical/clinical focus).
- 2+ years’ experience applying pharmacology/pharmacotherapy knowledge in a clinical human setting.
- Must live within the specified territory.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-doctoral residency in a clinical/pharmaceutical practice setting.
- Pharmaceutical industry or medical liaison experience (therapeutic area experience preferred).
- Clinical experience demonstrating direct/indirect patient care decision-making authority.
- Above-average computer literacy/software application experience.
