Medical Science Liaison - Oncology (S. FL & PR)
Territory to include: S. FL & PR
What You Will Do
- Interact with Oncology healthcare decision-makers to communicate and advance Amgen’s scientific platform aligned with organizational goals.
- Communicate complex, cutting-edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision-makers (including academic medical centers).
- Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers.
- Identify and train members of Amgen’s speakers’ bureau and ensure updates on new data.
- Respond to investigator-sponsored research proposal requests.
- Support Amgen-sponsored research.
- Provide insights from field interactions to Amgen partners.
- Provide scientific support (per MSL compliance standards) for commercial/corporate accounts and other colleagues forwarding HCP inquiries.
- Cultivate scientific relationships with Fellows in training.
- Lead and/or participate on committees or project teams supporting MSL strategies as delegated by MSL leadership.
- Support the MSL value proposition; demonstrate Amgen Values and Leadership Attributes.
- Demonstrate tact/professionalism; exemplify transparency and innovation.
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree
OR
- Master’s degree + 3 years of Medical Affairs experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of Medical Affairs experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharm. D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)
- 3+ years medically related experience, including 1+ year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research (post-doctoral training counts)
- Current Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs experience at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
- Oncology therapeutic area expertise
