What You Will Do (Oncology Therapeutic Area Medical Science Liaison – Scientific Affairs; field-based):
- Interact with Oncology healthcare decision-makers to communicate and advance Amgen’s scientific platform aligned to organizational goals.
- Communicate complex scientific information and research concepts (including at academic medical centers).
- Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers.
- Identify and train speakers’ bureau members and keep them updated on new data.
- Respond to investigator-sponsored research proposals and support Amgen-sponsored research.
- Provide insights from field interactions; provide scientific support to commercial/corporate accounts and matrix colleagues forwarding HCP inquiries.
- Cultivate relationships with Fellows in training.
- Lead/participate on committees or project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics.
- Demonstrate Amgen Values/Leadership Attributes; communicate with tact and professionalism.
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree; OR Master’s degree + 3 years Medical Affairs experience; OR Bachelor’s degree + 5 years Medical Affairs experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)
- 3+ years medically related experience, including 1+ year in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research (post-doctoral training counts)
- Current Scientific Affairs/Medical Affairs experience in biotech/pharma
- Oncology therapeutic area expertise
