The Medical Science Liaison (field-based) provides medical and scientific support for Organon’s Women’s Health programs, including scientific exchange with Healthcare Professionals and Managed Markets Customers; identifying investigators for pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing studies; responding to customer inquiries with focused, balanced clinical/scientific information; delivering clinical/scientific information that differentiates products; and providing regional and national data presentations.
Territory includes: ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with HCPs, organizations, patient advocacy groups, payers, decision makers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in Women’s Health.
- Present data and conduct balanced peer-to-peer scientific dialogue consistent with company policies.
- Collaborate on scientific communication plans, medical-to-medical materials, and research (incl. investigator-initiated trials; work with Clinical Development on investigator selection and site performance/recruitment).
- Assist in scientific training for Commercial and internal colleagues using approved materials.
- Support speaker training and advisory boards as requested.
- Represent Organon at national and regional medical meetings; support Medical Information activities; cultivate relationships and scientific exchange.
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests per policies and document requests.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA or equivalent; 5 years clinical practice and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Women’s Health experience preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and written/oral skills.
- Ability to develop and drive scientific engagement goals; understand clinical research methodologies; evaluate and translate scientific material.
- Travel up to ~50% when appropriate; manage competing timelines; work independently; handle ambiguity; excellent presenter to broad audiences incl. senior stakeholders.
