Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – TTR (Transthyretin) Amyloidosis
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with investigators and internal stakeholders to drive patient accrual.
- Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) and cultivate an expert network for Alnylam disease areas.
- Develop, maintain, and execute US KOL and US Institution plans within assigned geography.
- Conduct and implement a comprehensive disease awareness tactical plan in the geography.
- Collaborate with health care professionals to identify opportunities for algorithms and guidelines to facilitate early diagnosis.
- Provide in-depth drug mechanism of action and emerging clinical information to health care providers.
- Liaison to health care professionals, professional organizations, and disease state advocacy groups; support patient support groups and educational foundations.
- Provide medical/scientific input for advisory boards; support expert review of speaker presentations and provide additional medical background as requested.
- Support company objectives for pre-approved products.
- Provide educational meeting support at scientific congresses.
- Coordinate required medical, legal, and regulatory review/approval of field documents.
- Travel: 60–70%.
Qualifications
- PhD, PharmD, DNP, or MD with 3–5 years’ industry experience.
- Proven clinical background for meaningful HCP engagement.
- Strongly preferred: cardiology and rare disease experience.
- Experience in clinical research, patient recruitment, and investigator-sponsored trials.
- Experience in medical education and KOL management.
- Effective communication of evidence-based scientific information.
- Ability to work collaboratively cross-functionally.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Decision-making and accountability.
Benefits
- Eligible for annual short-term incentive award and annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
Compensation
- U.S. base pay range: $187,700.00–$253,900.00.
