Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Neuropsychiatry (GA, AL)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders in geography to answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR-related questions; use 1:1, group, and remote channels.
- Present accurate, compliant scientific information; respond to questions.
- Assess the medical landscape; stay current on treatment strategies, products, unmet needs, clinical trials, HEOR, and scientific activities; understand competitive landscape and customer informational needs.
- Identify partnership opportunities with HCPs (disease initiatives, collaborative research, and ISR) aligned with BMS objectives.
- Attend medical congresses/meetings; collect and share medical insights to support strategy/business decisions.
- Create geography-specific field/TL interaction plans; contribute to institution/account plans and medical programs/projects.
- Provide medical support through compliant collaboration with cross-matrix field teams; support internal training and scientific updates; support promotional meetings.
- Support clinical trial activities: interventional/NIR studies (site identification/feasibility), recommendations to clinical development, ISR submission/execution follow-up, apply PV procedural documents and report AEs, and support CRO-sponsored studies.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP, PA-C, etc.) AND 3–5+ years MSL or clinical practice experience.
- Current MSL or clinical practice experience in psychiatry/mental health/schizophrenia with strong collegial relationships with external experts.
Knowledge/Skills (Desired)
- Disease area and scientific publications; clinical trial design/process; competitive landscape/patient trends; national healthcare/access environment; HEOR fundamentals; excellent English.
- 3–5+ years MSL/clinical practice; independent/team-based work; translate data for physicians; communication/presentation; peer-to-peer thought leader relationships; quickly learn new subjects.
Essential/Travel
- Ability to drive a company-provided car; field-based role living within territory or within 50 miles.
- Majority of time in field with external customers.
