Medical Affairs
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high therapeutic area expertise aligned with Medical Affairs strategic objectives.
- Engage in compliant, non-promotional scientific exchange with KOLs, investigators, and other HCPs.
- Provide accurate, balanced medical information as a trusted scientific resource.
- Deliver company-approved medical/scientific presentations to audiences including formulary committees and HCPs.
- Support critical activities including speaker training, advisory boards, and sales training as appropriate.
- Ensure accurate, timely, compliant documentation of field-based activities.
Clinical Trials Support
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations to identify/evaluate clinical trial sites and investigators.
- Provide scientific and protocol-specific training during site initiation visits.
- Maintain ongoing engagement to support execution, address protocol inquiries, and ensure data quality.
Medical Conference Attendance & Coverage
- Attend relevant congresses to stay current with emerging data/trends.
- Provide real-time insights and post-conference reports to internal teams.
- Support congress presence (pre-conference plans, booth coverage, symposia, KOL engagement).
Scientific Materials Development
- Contribute to slide decks, FAQs, and educational materials.
- Write/edit Medical Information response letters.
- Ensure materials are medically accurate, evidence-based, and compliant.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Legal to meet guidelines.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in life sciences or related field from an accredited college/university.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Medical Affairs or MSL role in pharma/biotech.
- Sleep medicine knowledge strongly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal/written communication; ability to tailor complex scientific messages.
- Proven relationship building with KOLs/investigators/internal stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and therapeutic landscape.
- Skilled in developing/delivering scientific presentations.
- Strong understanding of medical-interaction regulations/guidelines.
- Ability to align field activities with broader medical/corporate strategy.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Travel frequently across Southeast; must reside in Atlanta metro or major Florida metro with access to a major airport.
Work Location & Travel
- Remote US role; up to 60–70% travel; occasional weekends.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $175,000–$215,000; discretionary annual bonus; 401(k), medical/dental/vision/life insurance, generous paid time off, health and wellness program.
