Medical Science Liaison (Los Angeles, CA)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a territory scientific engagement plan aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and approved medical assets.
- Cultivate relationships with community/academic opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Provide high-quality, two-way scientific exchange; translate clinical evidence into meaningful HCP discussions.
- Use insights and MSL tools (including AI tools) to gather, synthesize, and apply clinical/scientific/competitive/territory information.
- Maintain awareness of direct/indirect competitors and incorporate evidence-based context in compliant discussions.
- Identify HCP challenges/unmet needs and propose evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives.
- Collect and submit actionable insights to inform medical strategy and cross-functional discussions.
- Respond to unsolicited inquiries; support investigators for company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
- Collaborate with internal partners (MSL field partners, R&D, US/Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations; role-defined interactions with Sales/Marketing).
- Stay current via self-reading, journal clubs, seminars, and congress participation.
- Understand compliance/regulatory requirements and Medical Affairs SOPs; complete documentation and expense reporting.
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree or equivalent (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Provider).
- Post-graduate experience required (preferably therapeutic area clinical experience).
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic knowledge; research/healthcare system knowledge.
- Proficiency in data gathering/analysis, problem solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, competitive landscape analysis.
- Up to 70% travel; valid US Driverβs License.
Preferred:
- 2+ years relevant experience (preferably MSL); 2+ years therapeutic area experience.
- Residency/fellowship; board certification.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Anticipated base pay range: $117,000.00 - $201,250.00.
- Eligible for a company car via the FLEET program.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus.
