Position: Medical Science Liaison, Immunology (Field - MO, IA, KS)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic/community research thought leaders, HCPs, and access stakeholders in a defined geography to answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR questions.
- Use multiple interaction channels (1:1, group presentations, remote) and present information accurately and compliantly.
- Assess the medical landscape by meeting TL/HCPs/access stakeholders; continuously update knowledge (treatment strategies, products, unmet needs, clinical trials, HEOR, scientific activities).
- Understand competitive landscape and identify partnership opportunities (disease state initiatives, collaborative research, ISR aligned with BMS objectives).
- Attend medical congresses/local/regional meetings; collect and communicate medical insights to support strategy and business decisions.
- Develop geography-specific field/TL interaction plans and contribute to cross-functional institution/account plans.
- Provide medical support: compliant collaboration with cross-matrix teams; support training; provide scientific updates; support promotional meetings; participate in Congress activities.
- Support clinical trials: interventional/NIR studies (site identification/feasibility), ISR submission/execution support, apply pharmacovigilance procedures, alert AE findings; support CRO-sponsored studies.
Position Requirements (Required/Preferred)
- MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with disease-area experience or broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Disease area knowledge/publications; clinical trial design/process; national healthcare/access environment; HEOR core concepts; excellent English (spoken/written).
- Desired: 2+ years clinical/pharma environment; prior MSL experience; independent/teamwork; translate data for physicians; strong communication/presentation; peer-to-peer relationship building; learn quickly; demonstrate BMS values.
- Ability to drive a company-provided car; safe driving/ethics.
- Travel required; live in territory or within 50 miles.
Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- $166,090β$201,262 starting range (US field).
