Medical Science Liaison, IgG4 - Rare Disease (Territory: UT, AZ)

What You Will Do
- Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community; establish, develop, and maintain relationships with prominent experts and clinicians throughout the US.
- Network and partner with external customers (medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, managed care decision makers, pharmacy directors) in line with compliance, legal, and regulatory guidelines.
- Understand, integrate, and communicate scientific/medical information and the commercial value of products.
- Work self-directed in a changing environment, including obtaining, integrating, and communicating customer feedback.
- Match customers’ unmet needs with available internal resources.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities addressed through scientific, medical, and health economic information.
- Identify potential new speakers and train on scientific content for sponsored speaker programs.
- Participate in national/regional conferences to support strategy, gain competitive information, and maintain relationships.
- Support external clinical collaboration and facilitate IITs and company-sponsored trials with medical affairs/clinical development.
- Monitor competitive environment and provide feedback to senior leadership.

What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree
OR
- Master’s degree + 3 years Medical Affairs experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years Medical Affairs experience

Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)
- 2 years proven scientific/medical affairs experience in biotech/pharma
- Exceptional oral/written communication and interpersonal skills (networking)
- Travel up to 60%; may require up to 15-hour days due to travel
- Ability to learn new business applications (PC, iPad)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
