Medical Science Liaison, IgG4 - Rare Disease - DC, MD, DE (Territory to include MD, DC, DE)
What You Will Do
- Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community; establish, develop, and maintain relationships with prominent experts and clinicians throughout the US.
- Engage healthcare partners to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data.
- Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key partners, advocacy, and access enablers.
- Respond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with MSL compliance standards.
- Provide and/or present field observations and insights to internal collaborators.
- Implement scientific engagement plan aligned to annual MSL goals and metrics; develop and implement local OL plans.
- Support speaker training as requested and ensure speakers are updated on new data.
- Support Amgen-sponsored research (may serve as study lead); liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research.
- Lead/participate on project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics.
- Advance the MSL value proposition; demonstrate Amgen values and leadership attributes.
- Lead/support congress activities as aligned with strategy; compliantly collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
- Maintain clinical acuity/expertise and ensure timely completion of assigned training (may serve as training lead/mentor).
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree OR
- Masterโs degree + 3 years Medical Affairs experience OR
- Bachelorโs degree + 5 years Medical Affairs experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)
- Two years proven scientific/medical affairs experience at biotech/pharma
- 3+ years clinical/clinical research/medical research (including post-doctoral training)
- Rare Disease therapeutic area expertise
