Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL)
Responsibilities:
- Execute external engagement strategy aligned to the therapeutic portfolio and therapy area plans; drive consistent field engagement activities.
- Identify external experts, professional groups, decision makers, and stakeholders in assigned therapy area and/or geography.
- Respond compliantly to unsolicited HCP information requests for licensed/unlicensed GSK medicines; ensure responses are factual, fair and balanced, scientifically rigorous, and comply with GSK standards, local codes, guidelines, and laws.
- Disseminate safety information as directed (incl. DHPL); conduct scientific exchange and provide scientific/pipeline presentations to formulary committees and HCPs per documented requests.
- Maintain expertise in evolving therapeutic/scientific areas and competitor medicines/vaccines.
- Attend regional/national scientific/medical meetings; contribute to medical account planning/training as required.
- Support clinical development (GSK and investigator-sponsored studies), collaborate with R&D to improve site performance, and provide insight on GSK research interests.
- Conduct individual discussions/meetings with steering/advisory board members, consultants, and investigators.
- Provide scientific training to GSK sales reps and HCPs; support speaker training events.
- Partner with matrix colleagues to ensure patient- and business-focused strategies that add value to external experts.
Qualifications:
- Pharm.D, Ph.D., DNP, or MD (medical/clinical focus).
- 2+ years experience in pharmacology/pharmacotherapy in humans with practical clinical application.
- Must live within the specified territory.
Preferred:
- Post-doctoral clinical/pharmaceutical practice training.
- Pharmaceutical industry or medical liaison experience (therapeutic area experience preferred); may qualify for Sr. MSL.
- Prior clinical experience showing decision-making authority for patient care.
- Above-average computer literacy.

Benefits/Compensation (US): Base salary $168,750β$281,250; annual bonus; share-based long-term incentive eligibility; health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental/medical leave.
