Field Role: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) covering the Northeast (NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, and ME).
Responsibilities:
- Identify/develop peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and HCPs in hematology/oncology.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs.
- Identify/communicate key clinical and research issues from KOLs to internal departments.
- Provide medical education to HCPs (on-site presentations, investigator meetings, conferences, advisory boards, regional meetings).
- Support field activities (medical congress staffing, advisory boards).
- Maintain expert knowledge of the therapy area, Jazz products, emerging research, and competitive landscape; act as a trustworthy scientific/medical resource.
- Present clinical information in response to unsolicited questions; communicate emerging data objectively.
- Contribute to the US Medical Plan and local strategies; manage relevant budget when needed.
- Work cross-functionally to support Key Account Management; interact with HCPs for advisory boards, speaker development, and clinical trials.
- Document/forward adverse events and product complaints per policy; adhere to Codes of Practice and act with integrity.
Required:
- Advanced degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) + 3+ years in hematologic malignancies.
- OR license (RN/NP/CNP/PA or equivalent) + Master’s (or equivalent) + 5+ years in hematologic malignancies.
- 2+ years as an MSL (or comparable industry/clinical role).
- Ability to analyze/communicate complex medical data; strong communication/presentation, planning, strategic thinking, autonomy, flexibility, negotiation, relationship-building; strong digital tool capability; excellent spoken English.
- Travel ~60%; valid driver’s license; live near a major airport.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of geography/healthcare environment; trust-building with opinion leaders; understanding of regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
Compensation/Benefits (US candidates): Base pay range $160,000–$240,000; may include discretionary bonus/incentives, equity grants, and benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401k, flexible paid vacation).
