Field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) covering the Northeast (NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, and ME).
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and HCPs in hematology/oncology; execute territory plans aligned to US Medical Affairs.
- Identify and communicate clinical/research insights from KOLs to internal departments.
- Support medical education for HCPs via presentations, investigator meetings, conferences, advisory boards, and regional meetings.
- Provide support for medical congress staffing and advisory boards.
- Maintain high-level therapy-area and product knowledge; establish credibility as a scientific/medical information source.
- Provide clinical presentations and scientific responses to unsolicited questions (as appropriate).
- Communicate emerging data and clinical experience objectively.
- Contribute to US Medical Plan development; provide input to local strategies; manage relevant budget (where needed).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support Key Account Management; interact with HCPs on advisory boards, speaker development, and clinical trials.
- Document and forward adverse events/product complaints; adhere to national/local Codes of Practice; act ethically/integrity; maintain a written development plan and prepare timely reports.
Required
- Ability to analyze and communicate complex scientific/medical information; strong planning/organization and attention to detail; strategic mindset; self-motivated/autonomous; flexible/results-focused; excellent negotiation; relationship building; digital tool capability; excellent spoken English.
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) + 3+ years in hematologic malignancies OR RN/NP/CNP/PA (or equivalent) + Master’s (or equivalent) + 5+ years in hematologic malignancies.
- 2+ years as an MSL (or comparable industry/clinical role).
- Willing to travel ~60%; valid driver’s license; live near a major airport.
Preferred
- Knowledge of geography/healthcare environment and external experts; demonstrated trust-building with opinion leaders; understanding of regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
Compensation/Benefits (US candidates)
- Base pay range: $160,000–$240,000; may be eligible for annual cash bonus/incentive and discretionary equity; medical/dental/vision, 401(k), flexible paid vacation.
