Medical Science Liaison (MSL) — Field-based role covering the Northeast (NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME).
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers in hematology/oncology.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs plans.
- Identify and communicate key clinical/research issues and insights from KOLs to appropriate departments.
- Support medical education for HCPs (on-site presentations, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, regional meetings).
- Support field activities including medical congress staffing and advisory boards.
- Maintain up-to-date, high-level knowledge of the therapy area, products, research trends, barriers, and competitive landscape.
- Provide scientific exchange and objective discussion of emerging data, benefits, and risks.
- Deliver clinical presentations and respond to unsolicited scientific questions (as appropriate) in group and one-on-one settings.
- Contribute input to the US Medical Plan; manage relevant budget where needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support Key Account Management.
- Interact with HCPs to support Medical Plan-aligned activities (advisory boards, speaker development, clinical trials).
- Document and forward adverse events/product complaints per policy; adhere to national/local Codes of Practice; act ethically/integrity; follow company mission/values.

- Clear communication and presentation skills; strong planning/organization; strong strategic mindset.
- Highly self-motivated; learn quickly; flexible and results-focused; excellent negotiation.
- Interpersonal relationship building, networking, collaboration, teamwork.
- Strong capabilities working with digital platforms/tools; excellent spoken English.
Preferred
- Knowledge of geography/healthcare environment and external academic/medical experts.
- Demonstrated ability to develop trust with opinion leaders.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
Education/Licenses & Experience
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) with 3+ years in hematologic malignancies; OR license (RN, NP, CNP, PA or equivalent) with Master’s (or equivalent) and 5+ years in hematologic malignancies.
- Minimum 2 years as an MSL (or comparable industry/clinical role).
- Strongly preferred: track record of success in hematologic malignancies.
- Willing to travel ~60%; valid driver’s license; live near a major airport.
Compensation/Benefits (US candidates)
- Base pay range: $160,000.00–$240,000.00.
- May be eligible for discretionary annual cash bonus/incentive and discretionary equity grants.
- Eligible for medical/dental/vision, 401k, and flexible paid vacation.
