Field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) covering the Northeast (NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, and ME).
Responsibilities:
- Identify/develop peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and HCPs in hematology/oncology.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs.
- Identify/communicate key clinical/research insights from KOLs to internal teams.
- Deliver medical education (on-site presentations, investigator meetings, conferences, advisory boards, regional meetings).
- Provide support for medical congress staffing and advisory boards.
- Maintain high-level therapy area and product knowledge; serve as trusted scientific/medical information source.
- Provide clinical presentations and respond to unsolicited questions (as appropriate).
- Communicate emerging data/clinical experience objectively via scientific exchange.
- Contribute to the US Medical Plan and local strategies; manage budget where needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure Key Account Management; support activities aligned to the Medical Plan (advisory boards, speaker development, clinical trials).
- Document/forward adverse events and product complaints per policy; adhere to national/local Codes of Practice; act ethically and as a Jazz ambassador.
Required:
- Ability to research, analyze, and communicate complex scientific/medical information.
- Clear communication/presentation; planning/organization with attention to detail; strong strategic mindset; self-motivated/autonomous.
- Flexible, results-focused; excellent negotiation.
- Interpersonal relationship building; networking/collaboration/teamwork.
- Strong digital platform/tool capabilities; excellent spoken English.
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) + 3+ years hematologic malignancies OR RN/NP/CNP/PA or equivalent + Master’s (or equivalent) + 5+ years.
- 2+ years MSL (or comparable industry/clinical role).
- Travel ~60%; valid driver’s license; live near a major airport.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of geography/healthcare environment and external academic/medical experts.
- Demonstrated trust-building with opinion leaders; understanding of regulatory requirements for field personnel.
Compensation/Benefits (US candidates only):
- Base pay range: $160,000–$240,000. Eligible for discretionary annual bonus/incentives and discretionary equity; medical/dental/vision, 401k, flexible paid vacation.
