Essential Functions
- Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers in hematology/oncology
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs
- Identify and communicate key clinical and research issues/insights from KOLs to appropriate departments
- Participate in medical education for HCPs via on-site presentations, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, and regional meetings
- Support medical congress staffing and advisory boards
Scientific Expert
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of therapy area, Jazz products, new research, barriers/trends, and competitive landscape
- Establish reputation as a trustworthy scientific/medical information source
- Support Jazz positioning as a scientific authority; attend scientific congresses
- Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in group and 1:1 settings
- Communicate emerging data and product experience objectively, including benefits and risks
Medical Affairs Planning and Plan Execution
- Contribute to development of the US Medical Plan and input local strategies
- Where needed, manage relevant budget to execute Medical Plan tactics
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support Key Account Management
- Interact with HCPs as a scientific resource aligned with the Medical Plan (advisory boards, speaker development, clinical trials)
Required
- Ability to research, critically analyze, and communicate complex scientific/medical information
- Clear communication and presentation skills; strong planning/organization and attention to detail
- Strategic mindset; highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Ability to learn quickly, be flexible, and results-focused
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal relationship-building/networking/teamwork
- Strong digital platform/tool capabilities; excellent spoken English
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) + 3+ years hematologic malignancies OR RN/NP/CNP/PA (or equivalent) + Master’s (or equivalent) + 5+ years hematologic malignancies
- 2+ years as an MSL or comparable industry/clinical role
- Willing to travel ~60%; valid driver’s license; live near a major airport

- Knowledge of geography/healthcare environment and external experts
- Track record building trust with opinion leaders
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for field-based personnel
