Field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) covering the Northeast (NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME).
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Identify/develop peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and HCPs in hematology/oncology.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with US Medical Affairs.
- Identify and communicate key clinical/research insights from KOLs to appropriate departments.
- Participate in medical education for HCPs (on-site presentations, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, regional meetings).
- Support medical congress staffing and advisory boards.
- Maintain up-to-date therapy area/product knowledge; support Jazz as a scientific authority.
- Present clinical information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in group/1:1 settings.
- Communicate emerging data and product clinical experience objectively.
- Contribute to the US Medical Plan; provide input to local strategies.
- Where needed, manage relevant budget for Medical Plan execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; support Key Account Management.
- Document/forward adverse events and product complaints per policy; adhere to Codes of Practice; act ethically and as an ambassador.
Required:
- Ability to research/critically analyze/communicate complex scientific/medical data.
- Clear communication/presentation; strong planning/organization; strategic mindset.
- Highly self-motivated, autonomous; learn quickly/flexible/results-focused.
- Excellent negotiation; relationship building/networking/collaboration.
- Strong digital tools capability; excellent spoken English.
- Advanced degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) + 3 years in hematologic malignancies OR RN/NP/CNP/PA + Master’s (or equivalent) + 5 years in hematologic malignancies.
- Minimum 2 years as an MSL (or comparable industry/clinical role).
- Willingness to travel ~60%; valid driver’s license; live near a major airport.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of geography/healthcare environment and external experts.
- Track record building trust with opinion leaders.
- Understanding regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
Compensation/Benefits (US candidates only):
- Base pay range: $160,000–$240,000.
- Potential discretionary annual cash bonus/incentive and discretionary equity grants.
- Eligible for medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), and flexible paid vacation.
