Medical Affairs
Responsibilities
- Serve as trusted scientific partner via timely, appropriate, frequent scientific exchanges.
- Execute stakeholder engagement plans to gather data and share medical insights to enhance medical messages, plans, and future research.
- Stay current on medical/scientific developments; identify and assess research opportunities and support evidence generation in real-world settings.
- Recognize, record, and share insights on patient/consumer/regulatory/payer/HCP needs and unmet needs.
- Maintain compliant communication with internal stakeholders (Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Commercial Operations).
- Engage KOLs and other stakeholders in 1:1 and group settings; articulate product value using approved materials.
- Build long-term peer relationships; plan and execute territory/stakeholder engagement using the Scientific Engagement Model.
- Attend scientific congresses; organize educational meetings/boards; support speaker training.
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests.
- Collect and report stakeholder feedback; evaluate published evidence and interactions; provide insights to enhance strategy and product development.
- Collaborate internally to support diligence, medical/safety evaluation, positioning, lifecycle evidence planning, and compliance.
- Support evidence generation: monitor epidemiology, assist with protocol development, identify data collection opportunities, suggest trial sites, support ISS processes.
Qualifications (Required)
- Reside in territory (AZ, NM, UT, Southern CA).
- Advanced degree in technical/scientific/medical field (MD/PhD/PharmD) preferred; or other relevant life science degree (RN/MS) with Rhinology and/or Gastroenterology specialty.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background check; safe operation of company vehicle.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- 2+ years pharma/medical science liaison or relevant clinical practice (MSL strongly preferred).
- Gastroenterology-focused Immunology clinical experience may be considered.
Skills/Knowledge
- Scientific expertise; strong communication/presentation; ability to interpret data.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, regulations for non-promotional activities, digital tools; independent operation; planning/prioritization.
