About The Role
The Medical Science Liaison is a remote, field-based, external customer-facing member of the US therapeutic area medical unit team, responsible for analyzing, interpreting and disseminating scientific data, acquiring and translating customer insights, fostering external expert networks, and compliantly connecting customers to Takeda to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.
Reports to the Director, Field Medical.
Territory: Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi (must reside in territory).
How you will contribute:
- Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities (minimum 80% of responsibilities)
- Build and maintain KOL/HCP relationships per territory plans aligned to medical strategy
- Analyze and interpret complex scientific information; disseminate to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, fair-balanced, non-misleading manner
- Support Takeda-sponsored research and facilitate medical collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research
- Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights to inform/refine medical strategies/tactics
- Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical
- Execute medical strategy at medical conferences; share insights from poster/session attendance and KOL/HCP interactions
- Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries referred by Medical Information
- Complete customer activity documentation (e.g., CRM entries/insights capture), training, expense reporting, and administrative responsibilities
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Masterβs degree in health sciences (MSN, NP or PA) (Doctoral degree preferred: PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent)
- 0β2 years healthcare or related experience after professional degree
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and collaboration

Travel requirements:
- Up to 70% travel; some overnight/weekend; drive/fly to meetings
- Clean and valid driverβs license
