Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β primarily remote (territory: Chicagoland, New England, Mid Atlantic)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Dermatology KOLs
- Map, identify, profile, and prioritize thought leaders aligned to medical strategy
- Manage assigned geography with an entrepreneurial approach
- Support clinical development: site identification, trial recruitment, milestone completion, and data presentation
- Attend and report on medical conferences
- Collaborate with KOLs on medical affairs (publications, advisory boards, medical education, training, speaker development)
- Serve as a scientific resource to external disease experts and internal stakeholders
- Provide up-to-date disease/product medical information
- Gather and communicate HCP insights to inform medical strategy
- Train internal stakeholders on scientific/medical topics
- Maintain compliant, effective internal/external communication and accurate documentation of MSL activities
- Lead and/or contribute to Medical Affairs workstreams; support commercial activities as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MSN, DNP, PA-C, MPH, etc.)
- 3+ years MSL experience, including Dermatology MSL experience (launch/pre-launch, psoriasis, and/or Rheumatology experience a plus)
- Established networks/active relationships with Dermatology KOLs in territory
- Understand compliance considerations and ability to work compliantly
Skills/Abilities (preferred):
- Excellent oral/written communication; interpersonal engagement
- Initiative, proactive problem-solving, time management; works independently; thrives in ambiguity (start-up experience a plus)
Travel: ~50% (includes some weekends)
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Salary range: $195,000β$235,000 annually; annual bonus; stock options
- Health insurance premiums: 90% employee / 80% dependents; $100 monthly cell phone stipend; unlimited PTO (exempt); Genentech Bus & Ferry Share; free onsite gym; stocked kitchen.
