Medical Science Liaison - Obesity (Central/Southeast FL; territory includes Central/Southeast FL, Pompano Beach)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary scientific/clinical resource to Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers, and other HCPs to execute Amgen Medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.
- Conduct majority peer-to-peer activities discussing and advancing the scientific platform.
- Engage clinical investigators/sites for the obesity pipeline.
- Communicate scientific data (clinical, outcomes, and economic) with PHDMs within assigned IDNs and institutions.
- Connect external/internal stakeholders to expand reach and access for patients.
- Perform in-depth scientific exchanges consistent with MSL compliance standards.
- Support sponsored research (may serve as study lead) and liaise with investigators in non-sponsored research.
- Provide field observations/insights to internal stakeholders; lead/support congress activities.
- Support speaker training; lead/participate on project teams supporting MSL strategies.
- Execute administrative responsibilities and training (e.g., Veeva CRM, expense reports, compliance modules).
- Maintain/improve clinical/scientific expertise; build strong stakeholder relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree; OR Master’s + 3 years Medical Affairs experience; OR Bachelor’s + 5 years Medical Affairs experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pharm.D./Ph.D./M.D./D.O.; 1+ years Medical Affairs.
- 4+ years in medically related field (including 1 year clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research).
- 2+ years in a medical science liaison role; cardiometabolic/obesity expertise.
- Experience with designated territory.
